Do I need to pay to start practising?
No. The Free Starter plan is free forever and includes daily speed quizzes, XP, streaks, the leaderboard and full answer explanations. Paid plans add unlimited play, full-length mocks and analytic reports.
How long does sign-up take?
Under a minute. You create an account with an email address and land straight on the daily challenge — there is no activation call and no card requirement.
Which exams is UNLOCK built for?
SSC CGL, CHSL and MTS, IBPS and SBI banking exams, RRB NTPC and Group D, UPSC prelims, state PSCs, NEET UG, JEE Main, CUET UG and Delhi Police, across twelve subjects.
Can I try questions before creating an account?
Yes. The homepage runs a live sample round with a real timer and a real step-by-step solution, no account needed.
Is the app usable on a phone?
It is designed mobile-first. Everything works comfortably at 360 px wide, and you can install it to your home screen so it opens like a native app.
Practice & tests
How the question experience works.
How many questions does each subject have?
Counts range from roughly 1,000 to 4,800 questions per subject depending on the chapter depth. The subjects page lists the current count for every track.
Can I choose a specific chapter instead of a full subject?
Yes. Every subject is broken into chapters and micro-topics, so you can drill just Time, Speed & Distance or just Syllogism.
What is the difference between practice and a mock test?
Practice gives you one question at a time with instant explanations. A mock test is a full sectioned paper with sectional timing and a final percentile report.
Do you support Hindi?
Yes. Each question can be flipped between English and Hindi without losing your progress or resetting the timer.
Can I pause a practice round?
Practice rounds pause when you leave the page and resume where you stopped. Mock tests keep running because exam realism depends on the clock.

Why does every question have its own timer?
Because in the real exam hall knowing the answer late is the same as not knowing it. Per-question clocks make speed a trained habit instead of a hope.
What timer modes are available?
Speed Round (15 seconds per question), Standard Practice (30 seconds) and Exam Simulation (60 seconds with negative marking).
Is there negative marking?
Only where it belongs. Practice modes carry no penalty so you keep attempting; Exam Simulation applies a 0.25 mark penalty per wrong answer.
How is my score calculated?
One mark per correct answer, minus the penalty in exam mode, plus any speed bonus XP. Every mock ends with a section-wise breakdown.
What happens if the timer runs out?
The question is marked as skipped, nothing is lost, and you can revisit it from the question palette before submitting.

How do I earn XP?
Every correct answer earns base XP, and answering inside the bonus window adds a speed bonus on top.
What happens if I break my streak?
You can spend earned coins on a freeze day so a single busy evening never erases weeks of consistency.
How does the leaderboard work?
Weekly and all-time boards rank learners by XP, with movement arrows showing who you overtook this week.
Are badges only cosmetic?
Badges are cosmetic, but the coins attached to them are not — they unlock hint packs, extra freeze days and premium sets.
Do I keep my XP if I upgrade my plan?
Always. XP, streaks, badges and rank survive every plan change and renewal.

What happens when a paid plan expires?
Paid access closes on the expiry date. Renew or pick a new plan from the billing page to continue — your XP, streaks and rank are never lost.
How are payments processed?
Checkout runs through Razorpay with UPI, cards and net-banking. Access activates immediately after verification.
Can I upgrade before my current plan ends?
Yes. Buying a new plan opens a fresh access window starting from the day of purchase.
Is there an auto-debit or hidden charge?
No. Every plan is a single transparent payment with no hidden auto-debit mandate.
Can I get an invoice for my payment?
Yes. Invoices are available from the billing page and can be downloaded after payment verification.
Technical
Devices, data and offline use.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Install the app to your home screen and practice rounds continue working on a weak connection — attempts sync automatically when you reconnect.
Which browsers are supported?
Any current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on desktop, Android or iOS.
Will my attempt survive a dropped connection?
Practice attempts auto-save continuously. Mock tests resume from the last saved answer if the tab closes.
How much data does a practice round use?
Very little. Questions are served as lean markup and every illustration on the public site is a lightweight vector, not a photo.
How do I report a problem?
Use the contact page or the in-app report button. Paid plans get a priority inbox with a same-day response promise.
